Dynamic Figure Drawing (Wednesday)
While drawing from the model, explore the elements common to all good drawing - movement, proportion, structure, line and form. Learn to conceptualize the complex forms of the body in simple groups of masses. Sharpen your observational skills and transform observations into images. Individual critiques and lectures.
An accomplished professional with years of teaching experience guides this class, working with all levels to grow any student’s drawing practice, gaining and refining essential skills.
Students new to drawing are encouraged to start with bringing a 12×18 Newsprint pad, some drawing charcoal (vine and compressed) and a charcoal eraser, to begin developing basic skills. Continuing students bring the tools and media of their choice. Figure model each session.
