EYE TO MIND, HAND TO HEART: DRAWING WATERCOLOR FIGURES
with Phyllis Rutigliano – June 12, Saturday
9:30am – 4:00pm $80
Watercolor, fluid and free as its best, has the spontaneity of quick sketch. Let’s examine why watercolor is called a ‘drawing’ medium, By keeping our goals reachable and out attitude relaxed we will draw our way into watercolor figures. Interesting, intensive drawing exercises from simple shapes to figure provide structure for expressive images. Emphasis on lively color, simple design and a loose-as-a-goose attitude. On the spot demos and personal critiques. The fresh eye of the beginner and the trained technique of the advanced student are both welcome.
